Why We Love This Watch

Not only is the RZE Resolute Supercompressor a real super compressor watch that can have an increased water resistance at greater depths - a rarity for a microbrand watch since almost all watches of this type are just in the compressor style - but the RZE Resolute Supercompressor is also the world's first titanium super-compressor.

That immediately puts this limited edition timepiece in the highly collectible category for many. RZE have added a lot of interesting touches to this already impressive engineering feat such as their own scratch resistant ULTRAHex coating on the ultra-light titanium case and bracelet that has a hardness of 1200 Vickers, many times harder than steel. Although you can't see it, they have also utilized a very reliable high beat skeletonized automatic movement inside the watch to keep things incredibly light, along with a thin 11½mm profile.

As we can expect from RZE, who have a strong reputation for rugged, reliable, and practical field watches, we can also enjoy a very strong Swiss Super-LumiNova lume application in two colors, scratch resistant sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating, and a case with screw down crowns, screw down titanium case back, and VITON gasket, helping give this timepiece a 200 meter / 660 feet water resistance, double that of many dive watches.

Ever practical, RZE have made the bold and unusual choice of providing us with a 12 hour rotating chapter ring rather than the expected 60 minute dive timer. We think this is easy to use as a timer still, but also has the advantage of providing adventure travelers with a second time zone.

Adding to the bold feel is the fantastic Medallion Yellow color scheme, which we unanimously picked as our favorite RZE Resolute Supercompressor model.
